Τι να σκεφτόταν άραγε ο Καβάφης όταν μιλούσε για το μεγάλο εγκλεισμό; Μπορούσε τάχα να φανταστεί 130 χρόνια πριν την εποχή μας; Το αίσθημα της αποξένωσης στις μέρες της καραντίνας και ο ηρωικός αγώνας των μουσικών του Grup Yorum μας παρακίνησαν να κάνουμε αυτό το μικρό φιλμάκι. Γυρισμένο αποκλειστικά με τα κινητά μας τηλέφωνα και μακριά ο ένας από τον άλλον προσπαθήσαμε να αποτυπώσουμε αγωνίες και σκέψεις με οδηγό το ποίημα «Τείχη». Το αφιερώνουμε στους Τούρκους αδελφούς μας İbrahim Gökçek, Helin Bölek και Μustafa Κoçak που έπεσαν για την ελευθερία όλων μας. Το αφιερώνουμε στους αγώνες δέκα εκατομμυρίων κρατουμένων σε όλο τον πλανήτη που παλεύουν για λίγο ακόμα ουρανό. Το αφιερώνουμε στους χιλιάδες δεσμώτες των λευκών κελιών που σ΄ όλα τα μήκη και πλάτη της γη πολεμάνε την τυραννία. Το αφιερώνουμε σε όσους και όσες αγωνίζονται ακόμα για την ελευθερία.
Την ταινία έφτιαξαν η Αριάδνη, η Μαρίνα και ο Σωτήρης. Συμμετείχαν επίσης η Έζρα, η Ασπασία, η Ανθή και η Ηλέκτρα. Οι μουσικές είναι των Astronuts, το τραγούδι των Group Yourm

Το πάθος για την ελευθερία θα γκρεμίσει κάθε φυλακή
Nίκη στον αγώνα των Ebru Timtik (132η μέρα), Aytaç Ünsal (101η μέρα), Didem Akman (85η μέρα) και Özgür Karakaya (85η μέρα) που συνεχίζουν την απεργία πείνας μέχρις εσχάτων.

What made C. P. Cavafy spoke about a huge incarceration [in the poem “Walls”]? Could he ever imagine this scenery 130 years before our times? The alienation that quarantine created and the heroic struggle of Grup Yorum musicians made us create this short film. With shots taken by our mobile phones and with the distance between us, we tried to capture thoughts and anguishes in a condition of confinement, inspired by the poem “Walls”. We dedicate it to our Turkish brothers and sisters, to İbrahim Gökçek, Helin Bölekand Μustafa Κoçak, who died, defending their freedom-our freedom. We dedicate it to the struggles of ten million prisoners who fight to win little more of the sky. We dedicate it to the thousands detained in white cells all over the world who stand against tyranny. We dedicate it to everyone who still stand for freedom.
This short movie was created by Ariadne, Marina and Sotiris. Ezra, Aspasia, Anthi also took part in it. The music is by Astronuts. The song is one of Grup Yorum.

With no consideration, no pity, no shame,
they have built walls around me, thick and high.
And now I sit here feeling hopeless.
I can’t think of anything else: this fate gnaws my mind
– because I had so much to do outside.
When they were building the walls, how could I not have noticed!
But I never heard the builders, not a sound.
Imperceptibly they have closed me off from the outside world.
