ALFREDO OUT OF 41 BIS! Open assembly to respond to the gravity of the situation

The struggle waged by anarchist prisoner Alfredo Cospito against the 41 bis and the life sentence without parole has reached its most dramatic point. In spite of the open contradictions (opinion of the DNAA, opinion of the DDA of Turin, opinion of the PG at the Court of Cassation, order of the re-examination of the Sibilla Operation) every time a organism with effective power to resolve the question opened by the comrade has met, the most manectarian and warmongering faction of the State has invested all its political power to crush any possible opening.
We have said it too many times: Alfredo’s death sentence is now an established fact, if the comrade is still alive we owe it solely to his extraordinary resistance.
The decision to lock up an anarchist for the first time in 41 bis, taken by the previous Draghi government and Minister Marta Cartabia, as well as the determination to persevere in this criminal choice by the new right-wing government of Meloni and the current minister Carlo Nordio, amount to an act of war. The tip of the iceberg of the home front of a larger war, which on the international level is being fought between NATO and the Russian Federation, and which is being expressed here with an unprecedented attack against social antagonism, against conflictual unionism and especially against action anarchism.
This repressive chasm, which affects anyone involved in social conflict, cannot be filled by a jolt of conscience from civil and democratic society, but only through a reversal of the balance of power between the exploited and the exploiters.
The bosses feel as strong as ever, but in the slums the anger mounts.
After months of permanent mobilisation, the result was achieved of breaking the wall of silence around Alfredo Cospito’s struggle. Despite this, the government has now made its ‘irrevocable decisions’. As far as we are concerned, we urge comrades in solidarity not to be discouraged. This is the moment to express all our intolerance and indignation towards this society of murderers.
We invite all the people who have shown solidarity in Alfredo’s case in recent months to a public assembly where we can build together an initiative that is equal to the gravity of the situation.

Assemblea aperta per dare una risposta all’altezza della gravità della situazione

La lotta intrapresa dal prigioniero anarchico Alfredo Cospito contro il 41 bis e l’ergastolo ostativo è giunta al punto più drammatico. Nonostante le contraddizioni aperte (parere della DNAA, parere della DDA di Torino, parere del PG presso la Corte di Cassazione, ordinanza del riesame dell’Operazione Sibilla) ogni qualvolta si è riunito un organismo con potere effettivo di risolvere la questione aperta dal compagno, la fazione più manettara e guerrafondaia dello Stato ha investito tutto il suo potere politico per schiacciare ogni possibile spiraglio di apertura.
Lo abbiamo ripetuto fin troppe volte: la condanna a morte di Alfredo è ormai un fatto conclamato, se il compagno è ancora vivo lo dobbiamo unicamente alla sua straordinaria resistenza.
La decisione di rinchiudere per la prima volta un anarchico in 41 bis, presa dal precedente governo Draghi e dalla ministra Marta Cartabia, così come la determinazione nel perseverare in questa scelta criminale da parte del nuovo governo di destra della Meloni e dell’attuale ministro Carlo Nordio, si configurano come un atto di guerra. La punta dell’iceberg del fronte interno di una guerra più grande, che sul piano internazionale si combatte tra NATO e Federazione Russa, e che si esprime a casa nostra con un attacco senza precedenti contro l’antagonismo sociale, contro il sindacalismo conflittuale e in specie contro l’anarchismo d’azione.
Questa voragine repressiva, che riguarda chiunque sia coinvolto nel conflitto sociale, non potrà essere colmata da un sussulto di coscienza della società civile e democratica, ma soltanto attraverso una inversione dei rapporti di forza tra sfruttati e sfruttatori.
I padroni si sentono quanto mai forti, ma nei bassifondi la rabbia monta.
Dopo mesi di mobilitazione permanente, è stato ottenuto il risultato di rompere il muro del silenzio attorno alla lotta di Alfredo Cospito. Nonostante ciò, il governo ha preso ormai le sue “decisioni irrevocabili”. Per quanto ci riguarda invitiamo i compagni e le compagne solidali a non scoraggiarsi. E’ il momento in cui esprimere tutta la nostra insofferenza e indignazione verso questa società di assassini.
Invitiamo tutte le persone che in questi mesi si sono mostrate solidali nella vicenda di Alfredo a una assemblea pubblica dove costruire assieme una iniziativa che sia all’altezza della gravità della situazione.
